Apparently rolling a camera in the car is harder work than it seems!
On the drive home from work, I discuss course creation for Dometrain as well as how we're focused on being data-driven while building BrandGhost.

soon soon it will have its day but today is not that day going to head into the office now um I didn't get my map set up so yeah usually I'm not at the office this many days but like I mentioned in yesterday's videos have uh office travel and stuff uh for other people visiting so that's why there's a little bit more action on this channel so it says 50 2 minutes to get to the office 52 that's not going to happen though and I'm not going to make this mistake like I made yesterday where I didn't plug this silly camera in and it died like a couple minutes in so let me go ahead and do that now before I take off here but try not to hit the record button to stop it I think that's plugged in now it's plugged in cool
okay let's rock and roll let's hopefully not sit in traffic the trick is to get into the fast lane on this highway um there's there's no way I would be sitting driving to work and back an hour every day so it's too much so interestingly I thought this was kind of cool I was checking uh one of the videos on this channel like there's right now there's only like 30 subscribers right it's which is cool it's way better than no subscribers I'm super stoked that you guys are watching these um but I had one of my videos from the other day had like almost 500 views and to put it into perspective like this is how ridiculous social media is okay so my my main channel has uh just over 7,000 subscribers after after like 21 months of constantly uploading YouTube videos and I posted
a podcast yesterday and with like another Creator from LinkedIn uh I think I feel like it was a great interview it's got a custom thumbnail and stuff on it 7,000 subscriber Channel it got 60 views 60 views and I am sitting here on a brand new Channel with 30 subscribers and I uploaded a video of me rambling in my car and it has almost 500 views I'm not complaining about this channel getting views that's super cool um like I said it's uh it's awesome to be you know that you want to hang out with me as I'm driving to work I'm like man what the hell am I doing wrong on my main channel uh it's like I talked about this a bit yesterday but it's like that kind of thing is like extremely demotivating because it's like what's the what's the point right like
what's the point in trying to grow a follower base like putting in effort in all these things when like the platform itself is like nah we're not going to show anyone like what now again people that are really good at YouTube and really good at social media and like kind of uh figuring out algorithms for being able to post effectively they will always tell you like you can't blame the algorithm it's literally your own fault if your content is not getting pushed and like I get it because the way that a lot of these algorithms work in general is that they put your content in front of a small audience and if that does well it will go to a further audience I just can't understand how I can't understand how my Channel with like two orders of magnitude more followers is just like not
getting any visibility on a video um I suppose the click-through rate was horrendous like that's the only thing I can think of which tells me that my thumbnails must be God awful so I don't know I'm going to chalk it up to thumbnails and titles those are two things that I'm really bad at but um I've uh I I don't know I haven't told this story in a long time but I at one point it was like okay like I need to acknowledge that thumbnails aren't the skill I have totally fine I'm trying to get better I always look at these things like hey I'm not good at it now but I have to put in the work to get better at it and I was like okay I'm going to go on fiver or I'm going to get someone to make me some thumbnails
the guy made me some thumbnails was like I don't feel like there was anything impressive about them I'm not insulting him either by the way just like I don't think they were different than what I'm making right and after all of the service fee it's like was like ordering it's like ordering a can of pop on Uber Eats and then paying like $40 in the end for your can of pop after all the fees it cost me almost $30 after everything was said and done because even when you go to tip the tip was like a separate charge and to send the tip it wanted to charge me a service fee for my tip so it was like $30 to get a thumbnail when it was originally posted for like $7 to do the job so no I'm not paying $30 every time I want
a thumbnail made that's like absolutely ridiculous um if I'm effective with my videos when I post them uh like my tutorial videos it cost me you know $30 to $50 for like an 8 to 20 minute tutorial right so to have a thumbnail cost me $30 on top of that now we're talking like what like $60 to $80 per video and I put out three of them per week and now I have my editor also doing the podcast another like so sometimes four to five videos per week at $80 that's $400 a week at the top end and I make $2 a day on YouTube it's not happening I'm not paying $30 for a thumbnail it's crazy anyway that's why no one watches my stuff no um though it's cool I'm I'm actually happy that people are checking out this channel so uh thank you
again for making this part of your your commu or if you're just hanging out and you just want to listen to me ramble it's kind of kind of fun um if you if you're watching this if you have stuff that you want me to talk about on my drivein like I I'd like you to treat this like I I do my podcast or my goodness my live streams um live streams are different obviously because you can type questions to me and I'll answer them but if you leave me comments on these videos I will literally just dedicate a whole ride in in the morning to talking about the topic I don't mind I got time to kill that's why I'm doing these so yeah happy to answer questions I don't care what the topic is uh ideally it's related to software engineering cuz that's what
I do um yeah let me know um seriously just leave comments uh happy to kind of go through what whatever so what did I want to talk about today I had a good I had a good idea that I was thinking about um I'll give like a I'm I'm just going to start rambling because that's what I do I guess but uh haven't had uh just for the first like I don't know like yesterday was super busy kind of doing stuff um but I didn't two things I want to talk about off the top of my head are brand ghost and then our our behavioral interview course so uh Ryan ended up getting me sent over some of the templates for uh the slides he was using because again I mentioned yesterday the layouts were a little different and I was like crap I got
to got to make sure I'm using the same ones as him uh so I didn't get them in the morning which is totally fine he had a I believe he said it was his son's uh I can't remember if he said birthday and now I feel bad I need to go check it up I feel like first day of school but I also feel like I heard birthday at some point too maybe it's both so Ryan I know you watch these I'm so sorry I forgot um but I know you were tied up the point is I know that you were busy with family stuff and that takes priority over everything and I was at work too so didn't have them in the morning but when I got back uh from work uh so that would have been close to Six I I started putting
slides together uh and then realized like I got a stream too so by the time I got some slides together uh hung out with my wife for a bit I didn't have time to sit down and record so I remember telling my wife uh when I was saying good night to her um it's like I just feel like I had a day that like I I didn't feel productive which I hate um and I'm not blaming anyone right like I had a I had a good day at the office uh I did make progress on my slides and stuff for our course but I'm just like something about the day I'm like I just don't feel like I got the productivity out of it that I wanted to um and it's funny because it's like that's a negative feedback loop for me like when I
am productive and I feel productive I want to be more productive and when I'm not productive it like it's almost like it tires me out like this morning I went to CrossFit and when I got back I was like okay I have like almost an hour and 45 minutes to crank out like the course videos and I remember being like I need a nap like I have to go back to sleep so I did that for a little bit I hung out with our our kitties um that's another whole thing to talk about we got cats that we got to introduce to our big dog and she's not having a good time with them um anyway then I'm like okay now that I'm up I have to like address a couple social media things uh and by the time I was doing that I was
like okay I got like half an hour to record a video for the course so instead of having an hour and 45 minutes to get a couple things done I got one done and I'm not like it's good that I got one done but again I'm just talking about this like negative feedback loop where if I'm not productive it kind of makes me makes me feel like I want to slack off uh and I've noticed this before too if I have a day where I'm like man like lost productivity to whatever other little things going on I'm like I want to play video games instead of it being like Oh man like you got to you got to figure stuff out like you better Buckle uh buckle down the the only time that changes is if the deadline is like right there because then I
go okay now I don't have a like there is no choice right at at this phase I'm like there is a choice we have time and I know myself that like if it comes to the last minute I'm getting stuff done so it's kind of weird but I I don't like the feeling of not being being productive um so yeah it's a it's a momentum thing when I am productive it's like I go down a hole of being productive and uh but I enjoy it I know it's funny I talked to my wife about this she's like I don't she doesn't see things the same way which is totally fine like obviously people have different perspectives on this but um that gets me energized so she sees it as like that's too many things you're going to burn out like it's not healthy and I
see it personally like I'm like I enjoy it um obviously there's a limit but I enjoy it I feel productive when I can be making progress on different things um gets me energized gets me amped up to do to do more things so yeah just that's kind of how things go for me so uh the nice thing is I got a bunch of slide work done last night got my one video out of the way this morning I have all my YouTube videos done for the week I have my podcast ready for the week um so I can I can truly crank out uh more course videos so I'm not I'm not concerned right I'm not concerned that like oh no it's not going to I'm going to run out of time I just don't like not feeling productive so uh yeah huge thanks to
Ryan for getting me the slides send over so I can make progress on those um we're going to I mentioned this yesterday we're going to have to get our sessions together where uh we have a couple of videos we have to record uh together um and I think that's going to be fun I it's going to go I feel like it's going to go one of two ways maybe it'll go both but um the the example I gave yesterday was like if you've ever had to do like school projects and stuff and you're working with a a friend uh or you're just in class right as as kids and you're like if if you need to be serious then all of a sudden everything is is hilarious and it's impossible to be serious so I have a feeling something like that's probably going to happen
uh but at the same time I was mentioning like we've been recording videos right so like you kind of have to get in the zone and just like put your game face on and do it so I think I think we'll be fine I'm just I'm excited because I think it's going to be super fun so uh we'll we'll get together for those um so that'll be coming up uh probably not this week but maybe this weekend I'll have to chat with Ryan Ryan if you're watching this we got to talk um but yeah maybe this weekend uh and if not this weekend probably early next week and then we'll have those out of the way so yeah pretty pumped we're we're getting close to the finish line here I think you guys are really going to enjoy it so um it's just it's content
it's the type of content I want to be making so that's why for me I'm very excited uh really enjoyed working with Ryan on this and I think we're going to have just a lot more a lot more to come uh in this sort of area so that's exciting um brand Go stuff uh because I was kind of focused on on slides and things uh live stream last night I didn't get a whole lot of progress on on brand ghost uh but I was talk like this is the cool part I get to talk with people that are are using it and on boarding so uh totally like I mentioned before with meal coach I really believed in meal coach uh because it was was something that I would use and it was such like it felt so disappointing that I like couldn't get people
to the point where they were using it um but that's how things go right like like could could we have done better at onboarding people and finding Target users like 100% um I honestly believe that you know if we would have stuck with it could we have sure but I think we have to also accept that like at least for our skill level on on selling and marketing and things like that it would probably be overwhelming for us like we probably wouldn't be able to focus on our careers and our families properly and um or we'd have to go figure out how to hire someone to do it and like we don't have income from it so could we have found like another um sort of partner to go in on it with us like yes so I think there were lots of options that
could have been explored but I think personally I think we made the right decision we said we're not at a point where we can take this further and any effort that we're putting into this is going to be like exponentially more difficult for us uh or more you know more challenging more complex then it's going to be worth so um ultimately we pulled the plug but my point is like it was just disappointing to to kind of not reach this point where we can really be like in this feedback loop so I know from prototyping things for a lot of my career that like it's going to happen where you build stuff and it doesn't work it's totally okay um the difference is that I spent a lot of my career prototyping things for a business like not not myself not my own business for
someone else's business so I could be detached from it if that makes sense so when I'm building software someone would say hey like we think we have a problem or a problem in this area or users want this kind of thing or we want to experiment with X and it's like okay like I have a a mission in front of me and I like looking at those types of things like proving feasibility is one thing um and usually woo big truck honking at someone um proving feasibility I feel like is the like the sexier thing because you get to go hack together or something and go like hell yeah we made it work and that's cool um but the the non-sexy part to prototyping things is like sometimes your goal is just answering a question and it's unfortunate I left a magnet kind of like
as we were kicking off um a dedicated part of the business there where uh we had gone back to carving out a prototyping team so super proud of a a friend and former colleague who's I I believe he's now a director at at Magnet which is like I didn't get to director level because they didn't have a they didn't have a director title that was for technical managers um so he's now a director over I still believe over that area which is super cool I'm so proud of him and I know that when we were starting to go look at that stuff again we had we had verbalized like sometimes the the Prototype we have to go build is not actually writing code so if your goal is to get a question answered right if your goal is you're sitting down trying to ask users
like do you have this problem would this type of thing solve your problem sometimes it could just be a slide it could be as simple as a slide right it could be as simple as some mockups like a picture of what something could look like um depending on the the life cycle of where you're at it could be that simple because the reality is if you go to build any code you're going to go spend time like trying to prove the feasibility of building something and you don't even know if people have that problem like what are you doing so we talked about things as like very much like tiny little experiments and those experiments could be just literally getting questions answered they could be okay now you have your question answered like people would use this proving fees ability um and we always had
to be ready to throw things out because if you can do the it sounds kind of funny to say it this way but do the least amount of work possible to get through that step then you can keep iterating fast by the way I should call this out so I'm in the fast lane I'm stopped on the highway in the fast lane and I pay money to be in this Lane this how stupid this highway is um we've been pretty lucky so far my my videos for here that when I get in the fast lane I'm just cruising the whole way but um being parked in the fast lane paying the maximum amount because when it's this backed up the price goes up and it caps so paying the maximum amount to be stuck in a lane is like insanity it doesn't make any sense
to me so I'm upset if you couldn't tell um so prototyping spent a lot of time doing that got to be ready to to throw things out but like I was saying this was always for a business um with meal coach it was like this is something I believe in not that I didn't believe in the work I was doing at the other place but like like I want this I want this for me and it didn't pan out and that's okay with brand ghost it's similar in the sense like I want this for me but the I guess the one of the big differences is like with brand ghost I wasn't using meal coach like I which sounds kind of funny like I wasn't using meal coach because I was paying for a coach for accountability for uh for bodybuilding prep but I was
building meal coach in a way where I'm like this is how I would use it so that's interesting I guess but brand ghost I use brand ghost like I am I am a user and I have a system that's outside of brand ghost that we've been transitioning pieces over to Brand ghost and like I can't wait to turn off that other system because it's hacked together uh I rely too much on third party things that I cannot stand uh if I ever need technical support I have support tickets that have been open up for over nine months for really dumb things that should just work because I pay money for them and I cannot wait to turn them off because I'm furious and I don't want to and I don't want to like spend my time like talking about like bad mouthing other companies because
it's not worth it um cuz I don't I don't need to give them even like the negative publicity and I don't think that I don't think that's something that I just want to do in general but I'm pretty ticked that I'm paying money and not getting what I want out of it so like I am extremely motivated to continue building brand ghost because I told my wife this if brand ghost stopped working today if it stopped working I don't know if I'd be able to keep making content like that's how important it is to me if brand G stopped I would instantly feel overwhelmed and I would be like I just don't think I can do this and that's because the way that I've been creating content over the last 21 months is that I get to a point where I automate more of my
content creation and posting that it allows me to do more and if someone turned off the parts that are currently automated for me it would be like starting from scratch and I couldn't do it so when people say like uh and I don't I don't want to say this like I'm I'm boasting about it or anything but I I've had multiple people say to me like I don't understand how you can post so much or how you can do so much for Content creation like how how do you do it it's I've said this before like it's literally just because I'm using brand ghost and if it turned off I would be in shambles I just could not keep up I post to like 12 social media platforms every day so could I live without those other social media platforms of course of course I
could like blue sky and mastedon if those turned off today could I live yes but the reality is like I spend time building those up so like I don't just want them to disappear the same thing with Tumblr with Pinterest like I post everywhere and it would just feel like a reset so earlier when I was talking about like a negative feedback loop when you're posting to all these places it's a positive feedback loop when you see even slow growth you're like hey it's moving in the right direction at least um so that becomes a positive feedback loop for me but if it turned off I would be like I don't know if I have any motivation to like to keep going I'm sure I'm sure I'd find a way but um it's hard so before I started ranting and rambling uh I was trying
to say that for brand ghost at least didn't get a lot of work done like on the technical side like last night slash this morning but at least had the opportunity to talk with some users so uh I was talking with the the the real estate agent who's onboarding his real estate services and uh and he's got a roofing company that he's on boarding um and he sent me a message uh before I went to bed and he was like he was just saying how he was super pumped and he was getting a lot of content landed uh and I had a a separate system so for context before we started building the brand ghost user interface I set him up in a similar way that that I had set up my own content outside of brand ghost and said hey look if you find
that this pattern works like we're basically building the front end to go on to this next uh so like do you want to try it so he onboarded that way so I asked him I said okay awesome like great to hear you you know you're cranking out content that's that's great I said are you are you putting it into the previous system or are you putting it directly into brand ghost and he said directly into brand ghost so like that's a Feelgood moment for me because I'm now uh and I and I kind of I believe this was going to happen anyway but kind of transitioning someone who was like I see the value in this I'll use the hack together version because I believe in this so much and I'm transitioning them away from the hack together version into the real product and like
for me that's like a a hell yeah moment so that was cool to hear uh was talking with another individual who's um I think he's willing to give brand ghost a shop but he's kind of exploring the feature set he has something else he's currently using and uh I think he's acknowledging Brad go seemes like it could be a good replacement but I think he's doing a feature comparison at least for his needs which is totally fair um so this is good right like this is the type of thing when we're talking with users to understand like well you know I have the things that I need and we built a lot of brand ghost around what I need need and how I post content so what do other people need like what are they currently using how do we move them away from the
products they're using and give them more value um the same time we can't do everything so are there things that other users do and we need to acknowledge like we're not doing that now and potentially we're not doing that ever like we have to see right so it's important to understand like how much and where the problems are for different users so we have to spend time doing that but that's I got to have a little bit of that uh last night and this morning for for just having these user interactions which I think is really important um funny enough in our behavioral interview course like we do talk about like behavioral interview questions for customer focus right so when you're set up to be like founding something or you're working in a startup I would say generally you get a lot more exposure to
like to customers and or even people acting as a user proxy just seems like it's a little bit more uh common just because of the nature of you know you haven't built out teams that have all these roles and stuff so um I have experienced doing that for my my past life which is nice CU now I work in platform teams mostly and I feel like that's a little bit more limiting for my user uh uh facing perspective like it's a it's a lot more engineering driven which is still cool uh but you know I miss that kind of interaction and being able to like hear from users and customers like where their pain points are so yeah you can get that with platform teams because you still have users still a thing it just feels a little bit different um and the other thing
is like if if our users of our platform just shut up and they and they didn't send us any feedback right so one day they just say we're all shutting up you're never hearing from us again um there's still tons of work that we have to do as a platform so it's not like it's not like if we didn't hear feedback we wouldn't know what to do on platforms but um certainly with something like brand ghost I just feel like we could totally go down a rabbit hole building things if and then having no idea if they even matter to people so with a product like this in a service like this I think it's really important that you're in tune with your users so um yeah we we've had the sort of call it like the luxury of you know I am a user
and you know if we can if we can at least say that like this has worked for Nick let's build things that have worked for Nick if other people are like hey Nick I would like to do content like you then we have an we have an offering right so that's what brand GH currently is but we'll be building out more um so yeah just got to keep that user feedback coming so why you beeping at me I think I thought someone was trying to merge into the fast lane so maybe they were maybe it saved my life yeah and I have one more user who uh he's in a different time zone he's got to send over his content I mentioned this yesterday I think but he has a bunch of content that I have to manually Import in bulk but the formatting was
weird so I just said like hey dude like I can I can fix it up I think but like if you want to get it exactly how you have it currently like let me know like if you can export it again and preserve the the new lines and stuff so uh he sent me a message and was like yeah in the morning I'll get it to you no problem so I don't know if it was already past morning for him but might have forgot that's okay but I I'll get that done for him as soon as he's got it over to me um but yeah it's cool then we have like like we have people using the platform so I think that's what it's all about is getting people onto the platform getting them trying it because in my opinion once you once you can
rely on brand ghost publishing your content for you and then you realize you never have to think about scheduling content again so nice as a content creator at least but there's uh yeah I think that the user interaction part is like a big thing that uh I'm excited to have more focus on um trying to think if there's anything else on the brand ghost front I wanted to touch on but maybe not maybe not I just don't know if it's worth like Switching gears to a different topic when I got probably 10 minutes left in the car here and I'm at my favorite part of the highway on the drive-in at least where I got to move over all these Lanes if you couldn't sense the sarcasm I hate this part of the highway but we'll see in just a moment I'm losing my voice
where'd it go okay let's see what's up brake lights already that's a good sign this person's going to let me in very kind of them what do they say very demure is that what the kids say very cutesy how many people just turned off this video when I said that one more Lane to go after this one we're getting there not so bad today it's been worse yeah so right now jug a whole bunch of stuff right but getting the one Dome train course out of the way it's a huge relief just because I was doing two at the same time plus brand ghost plus the content creation Plus work my wife was saying do you even exist anymore um so she could tell that I was kind of uh you know basically reaching a point of overwhelm so uh yeah having that one course
out of the way is good I think it will be nice to get this one wrapped up with Ryan um we will start our next one basically right away which is cool but I think it will be a bit of a relief to say okay we've got this one um kind of like take a breather but we still have to obviously make progress on the next one so I just uh I think that that moment of being like okay like we've deled delivered it to to Nick chaps is for Dome train like you know take a deep breath I think that'll be good um but yeah I think another thing worth mentioning so this is uh a topic that I think probably in 10 minutes or so I can talk through but uh I was talking about like productivity earlier right and something I mentioned
was like sort of like this negative feedback loop of not being productive and then being like screw it I don't want to be productive anymore um one thing that I I need to do with myself is like I think what happens is when I'm going through these bouts of being like as as productive as I possibly can and it's like a Feelgood kind of thing I I do need to remember that I need to take my foot off the gas sometimes and even though it does feel good and I Feel Like Loving the productivity and all that um and there's like positive things that come from that I just need to remember it's not like that's not totally sustainable right it just isn't so I think it's good I think that and I genuinely believe like finding for your own self it's going to look
different for everyone finding like how you can be productive what gets you going um I I also believe in like I believe in hard work so going through periods where you're like this is challenging but like I'm going to persevere I'm going to get it done I think that going through phases like that is important because when you work through stuff like that you realize what you're capable of handling so I don't I don't think that your life should be like like structured punishment where you're like okay I'm just going to grind another three more years and then I'll prove to myself I'm good and then I'll do it again like I don't I don't mean like that but I mean I mean truly taking on big challenges working through them and then going hell yeah like I did it because the next time you're
face with a challenge you can remind yourself what you're capable of I think I think that is important so I think something that happens for me and I I talked about video games earlier like I grew up playing tons of video games tons and I love playing video games but I go through periods when I have these productivity vs where I'm like like I I can't can't touch a video game because like I'm I feel guilty I'm going to kill my productivity off like this is It's you know it's dangerous like Don't Go Near it and I think part of it is because especially in the past when I would play video games it's almost like I can't stop right almost like addicted to playing video games and stuff so um so I try to be careful and then I feel guilty and then I'm
like just turn it off and like never touch it again kind of thing but I think there's a there's a middle ground right like with most things it's probably a middle ground I got to move over Lanes here and this guy's going at the worst speed that I could possibly imagine H okay let's see how this is going to work highways here are just totally stupid but we'll see one more Lane cool okay so I've I needed to remind myself that like I just need to structure time for video games because uh I don't like watching TV to relax like that's not a thing I do I I need to be like doing something and TV makes me feel like antsy and like anxious this guy's really got to figure out how to back up you're not going to get ahead any faster by being
attached to my vehicle sir um stupid Civic um so yeah I got I got to structure time for it because what happens is like it's almost like binge eating right where I'm like don't do it don't do it don't do it and then and then I I H hit like a day where I have like low productivity and then I'm like screw it like I'm playing video games and then and I'm like wow this is really good like I don't want to stop playing video games so I just need to make sure that I got to balance some things out better so um if it's going to be playing you know video games or doing something else that's like taking a break like absolutely nothing wrong with that in fact like I'm saying it out loud so I can you know trick myself into it
but like I do encourage people to take breaks from things like you're a human you need to have some enjoyment you need to be able to relax whatever that looks like for you so you got to find a balance with these things and I'm I'm pretty bad at it and I think it's because like like I was saying like that productivity Loop like it feels good to me um it's just not sustainable so got to remind myself that but I did start uh I'm I'm late to the party but um I picked up Elden ring and I had tried Elden ring before and I'm not like a Souls Souls player at all and I tried it and I think I played like 15 minutes and I refunded it on Steam I was like this is the worst thing I have ever played in my life
I couldn't stand it um just nothing about it was enjoyable it was infuriating um I couldn't even like because I was dying so much I didn't understand how you like leveled up your character so I was like I'm constantly dying and I can't even progress my character because uh the ruins you drop which are like your experience points like I would just lose them and I'm like I can't get them back so I'm like I don't know what I'm doing wrong here but I can't progress so uh I did pick it up again and kind of like went into it with a different mindset and it's been super fun um I definitely love the idea of like having a like I'm not huge on Impossible challenges like I that still frustrates me so if you have like an enemy that's going to like like stun
lock you and make you just like be mad like I don't like that but what I do really like is the um the world has like so many secrets and stuff like that is super cool I absolutely love that um so I'm kind of hooked now what there's no no parking today this person is trying to take my spot there's like one spot in this whole garage this is crazy this is what I thought it was going to be like yesterday but maybe not everyone had flown in yet woo these spots are like awful um you can't really see how I'm parking I guess but now you're beeping at me okay um yeah it's super tight in here and then people can't seem to park properly um but yeah I think that's it folks um I'll have another one on the way home thanks for
hanging out with me on the ride and hope you have an awesome day take care
Frequently Asked Questions
These Q&A summaries are AI-generated from the video transcript and may not reflect my exact wording. Watch the video for the full context.
- Why do some videos on my smaller YouTube channel get more views than those on my larger channel?
- I noticed that a video on my new channel with only 30 subscribers got almost 500 views, while a video on my main channel with over 7,000 subscribers only got 60 views. I think the difference might be due to poor click-through rates on my main channel, possibly because of bad thumbnails and titles. I'm working on improving those aspects to get better visibility.
- How do I handle the cost and quality issues when outsourcing thumbnail creation for my videos?
- I tried hiring someone on Fiverr to make thumbnails, but after fees and tips, it ended up costing me about $30 per thumbnail, which is too expensive for me to sustain. The thumbnails I received weren't significantly better than what I could make myself, so I decided not to keep paying that much. Instead, I'm focusing on improving my own skills in making thumbnails and titles.
- How does using Brand Ghost help me maintain my content creation and social media presence?
- Brand Ghost is crucial for me because it automates posting to about 12 social media platforms every day, which allows me to keep up with content creation. If Brand Ghost stopped working, I would feel overwhelmed and might not be able to maintain my current level of productivity. It helps me avoid starting from scratch and keeps the positive momentum going in my content creation efforts.
